Please read the descriptions of the categories and choose the one that is most appropriate when completing the registration. If your entry could be entered under more than one category select the one you feel your piece is most representative.  The Quilt Show Committee has final approval of all category selection for entries, and may deem it appropriate or necessary to switch the category of an entry at its discretion.

Categories awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place:

• Large Applique:  240″ perimeter or larger
• Large Pieced: 240″ perimeter or larger
• Large Professionally Quilted (quilted-for-hire):  240″ perimeter or larger; more than one person; includes quilt for hire
• Small Applique:  less than 240″ perimeter
• Small Pieced:  less than 240″ perimeter
• Small Professionally Quilted (quilted-for-hire):  less than 240″ perimeter; more than one person; includes quilt for hire
• Mixed Technique:  any quilt that does not obviously fit into another category; example: crazy, painted, embroidered, photo quilt, balanced combo of more than one technique; except miniature
• Group Quilt:  created by a pair or group of people, not professionally quilted; any size; includes block trades
• Wearable Art:  quilted wearable garments

Other ribbons awarded will be:

Viewer’s Choice – public only voting

Best Hand Quilting – excludes professionally hired

Best Individual Machine Quilting – excludes professionally hired

Best Original Design

Member’s Choice – member only voting

Sponsor’s Choice – sponsor only vote; applicable if show has sponsor(s)

Child category – 15 & under; ribbon for each entry (entrant)

2012 Storybook Challenge (guild members only)

2011 Green Challenge (guild members only)

2010 Home Sweet Home Challenge (guild members only)
